On June 1, 2005, the Law Office of Richard T. Seymour, P.L.L.C., opened
its doors.
From February 2001 through May 2005, I was a Washington, D.C., partner
in Lieff, Cabraser, Heimann & Bernstein, LLP, a plaintiffs’
class-action firm headquartered in San Francisco.
From January 1977 to February 2001, I directed the Government Discrimination
Project and then the Employment Discrimination Project of the Lawyers’
Committee for Civil Rights Under Law in Washington, D.C.
From October 1973 to January 1977, I was in solo practice.
From October 1969 to September 1973, I worked at Marian Wright Edelman’s
Washington Research Project, which later became the Children’s Defense
Fund.
From June 1968 through September 1969, I worked for the U.S. Commission
on Civil Rights.
